Now going into its fifth consecutive year, Miss Texas Pole Star’s popularity and success (not to mention its coveted crown) has made it the longest running pole and aerial competition in the U.S. Linda’s work with MTPS has ignited the southern competition circuit, offering a creative outlet for competitors while opening the door for other pole and aerial competitions to emerge. With an accomplished background in sales and finance, Linda has been able to bring that experience with her into the world of pole using those skills to help open doors for sponsorship opportunities not only for the MTPS competition but for other competitions as well. More than a leader on the competition circuit, Linda is a business consultant and mentor to many of the athletes and various businesses within the pole and aerial community.
Since founding Miss Texas Pole Star, Linda has gone on to judge for other highly-regarded competitions including the Midwest Pole Competition, Pole Sport Organization, Michigan Pole Dance Competition, Pole Dance Fest, to name a few. Linda’s influence extends beyond the stages of competition. When she’s not working behind the scenes at a competition, Linda can be found in the studio teaching pole classes which is where her own journey into pole fitness began. In 2008, upon the advice of her doctor, Linda went in search of an alternative workout that was fun, yet challenging as she found the typical gym routine utterly boring. She started classes at a local studio, instantly falling in love with the beauty and intensity of the sport after just a few classes. Soon after, she completed her pole dance instructor and lap dance instructor certifications and has been teaching since. As an instructor she has taught both men and women, from ages 15 to 75! As an instructor and judge she loves guiding competitors through the rigorous days and months leading up to competitions.
Linda is also the founder of Aerial Universe, an online community inspired by and created for aerialists. She felt that it was important to offer a dedicated social platform that would enable aerialists around the world that share the same interest and passion for aerial arts, to connect and network.
As a huge proponent of Pole Fitness for women and men, and with more than eight years in the pole community Linda’s commitment to the advancement of pole fitness continues to grow.
